Amerikaner har en annorlunda syn på matlagning:
Jag: So you like to cook?
Matt: Oh yeah, I cook a lot, I think I'm a pretty good cook!
Jag: Really? What do you cook? (här tänker jag mig avancerade trerättersmiddagar)
Matt: All kind of things, I have this special recepie...
Jag: tell me
Matt (jättepeppad): OK, well first you take two slices of toast, then you put bacon, tomatoes and cheese on top...
Jag: OK, and then?
Matt: And then you put it in the owen and the cheese melts.
Jag: Oh
